Long weekend

I tried posting things over the weekend, but I guess it was all down.  On day 8 and I feel great!!  Yeah, to be honest, today I had more cravings, but I won't, don't wanna go there.  You know, the dark stinky hall of yuck.

I spent the weekend getting wood for the winter with my husband.  The kids were in town with friends for Halloween, this is the first time in 16 years we have not had to do the Halloween thing, ya know I fell asleep at 8:30!  Both kids stayed in town at friend's houses.  After getting 6 cords of wood, sleep was on my mind and my body was wiped!   The nicest part about it was not smoking.  I felt like I had more energy, yeah, I was huffing, running a chainsaw and throwing rounds to the truck, but it was a good kind of huffing, not the tight chested, weezing kind, the kind that feels like you are really getting some good Oxygen in and all over your body.  Ya know, my fingers never got tingly and I never got the head pain that I used to get!!!!  And the view!!!!!  Yeah it has been good.  My muscles are very sore, but it's a good sore!

Yep, I like being ungross!!!

Hi Time(not your real name). It's good to be honest. Some days are easier than others. The most important thing is that you got through your cravings and remained true to your quit. I am sure you slept well that evening with all the physical work you did!! Congratulations on 8 days!! You're doing great. be well,

Kat

Hey, way to go, 8 days is one heck of a good start.  Sounds like your expecting a cold winter, 6 cords is a lot of wood.  Stay strong and protect your quit.

Congratulations on day 8! The site being down was a pain for many of us - great job on keeping your quit - and on cutting all that wood!!

Good for you!  8 days is great!  What part of the country do you live in - 6 cords of wood is so much. I cannot imagine doing all that work - super good for you!  Imagine how much you'll be able to do in 6 months to a year of no smoking!  Keep it up and come back here often to let us know how you are doing.
