My dear friend - 52 years old - had a massive heart attack this afternoon.
She is resting in ICU as I type this. She had such a close call.
Life is so precious. Seeing her really put so many things into perspective for me.
I am so grateful that her life was spared today. I am so grateful for skilled doctors and surgeons.
I am so relieved that I can sit with her and not worry about going outside to smoke. I am so relieved that I no longer smoke and am not dealing with the guilt and anger at myself for treating my body so poorly. I am so relieved that she is going to be okay!
