Let's add some joy to our quits by celebrating the holidays with our accomplishments and successes. I love Christmas, always have. I have losses and memories and people of days gone by, but I still love celebrating the day and the decorations and the music and the lights and the tree...
We put too much emphasis on the past and the present when this time of year comes along. New quitters are worried about smoking because it's Christmas. It's just another day out of 365 days when everything will and can happen in out lives. So why not make it another day to celebrate our achievements.
We're supposed to get some snow tonight for the first accumulation. I know as we get older we may not enjoy the work that accompanies the snow, but it's so beautiful. I've always loved spending time with my dogs in the snow. It's just pure fun for them and me!!!!
Quitting is a challenge that I still deal with at times, but I'm not going to let it take away from the beauty of winter and the holidays. Let's have some fun. Smoking was always a part of it for me, but not anymore. Don't let it take away from your joy with family and friends.
Happy Holidays
