Hello, everyone!!!!
I'm 1018 days quit today. In the year 1018, the city of Koblenz was given to the Archbishop of Trier, according to Wikipedia. That sounds random to you, but I lived in Trier for a short time, so I guess today has more meaning to me than I thought!
So I haven't had to ask in a really, really long time, because I have let my letter-writing get away from me as of late. I blame the cool box I bought to put my stickers in. It matches my living room furniture so well, that my collection sort of disappears into the picture. Also, I'm losing weight, so sitting on my couch writing letters isn't conducive to that goal.
So here's the story:
When I quit smoking, I started buying stickers instead of cigarettes. They were fun and they were sold at the CVS, which is where I often bought my cigarettes (how times have changed for both of us!). I wound up with a lot, more than anyone without children or a scrapbooking hobby should, and I didn't know what to do with them. They got overwhelming.
I decided I would send letters covered in stickers, and it took on a life of its own for awhile. I did one everyday for 10 months, and then life happened (well, death happened--my beloved blind, deaf Chihuahua died, and I couldn't do anything), and it got away from me, but I do still maintain my correspondence with the people who write me back. I'm doing AWESOME with letter-writing right now, so I am ready for MOOOOOOOOAR!!!
So if you send me a PM with your address, I'll send you a bestickered letter. If the idea of sending your address to a stranger on the Internet unnerves you, I have several people here on this site who will vouch for the fact that I am neither a serial killer nor a peeping Tom, that I am quite a normal person beyond this one odd hobby. These include Tommy, SkyGirl, Ellen, Lois, Sammy (whose baby is the cutest thing I've ever seen in my life), jonilou, Marilyn (marmac), and lots of others who I can't even think of right now because my day at work was bad, and I just want to dive into my box of stickers and play with them. So I really would appreciate if you can help me out with that. 😃
