Hi Bree, I flew to Johannesburg this weekend for my boyfriends birthday and it was so awesome not to panic about smoking and flying.  I did so well, no smokes since quitting day.  Love the smell of smoke still and always want to hang around with smokers so i can smell it.  Need to start hating the smell and don't know how.
How are you doing?  How many days has it been now?

Day 29 today!!!!   I'm just astonished how they flew by.

Yes that smell must now really become obnoxious to me...but not yet apparently.  Still love it.

You're doing so well - you're boyfriend must be happy for you!

AND almost halfway through your 2nd week.  Hi5!

Hi Bree haven't been on here for a few days.  17 days and still going strong.  I am very proud of myself, although still crave cigarettes and it seems to get worse as time goes one.  How are you doing?

Hi  there Juliette.

WELL DONE with 17+ days!!!   You've got this quit happening, haven't you?

My craves are weird.  They're like smoky (ha-ha) memories that float in and out?.  I'm happy of course but what happens when I get a real crave?  I have no idea what that feels like.  Anger, irritability, crazy days, weeping, missing people I have yet to meet...but not craves.  And then it was week 3 and it all went better.

I'm really good now.  37 or 38 days - felt so good to tell 2 doctors today that I quit 5 weeks ago!  I'm trying to stay off the site - have so much to do before check-in on 18 April.  But it's like my new addiction - the EX'ers!  I have to come and peek .

I don't know (should ask) about wi-fi in the hospital so may not even have my laptop after surgery.  Will be in 7 to 10 days depending on the lungs.  Such a disappointment today at the Specialist Physician.  My lung capacity is the same as 5 years ago when my left knee was replaced.  I expected either WAY WORSE numbers because of 5 years' worth of more smoking or a bit of a difference because I've been smoke free for 5 weeks.  But the numbers are still exactly the same.  Oh well - at least not worse.  No Thomas3.20.2010‌ - I didn't ask what my capacity is - I thought I would, just for you, but things were crazy running (limping) about between the doctors' rooms!

Juliette, stay strong and carry on stacking the days.  You'll be about 40 days when I get out right? (sorry - my maths at school was abysmal)

Luvya - Mwah!
