Just starting and its kicking my butt

Smoked my last cigarette on March 15th.  Had a puff on the 16th and another puff on the 17th.  Won't do it again.  I am done.  This is the hardest thing ever.  Using patches, but the urges are still extremely strong.  No matter how strong the urge, I will not give in.

Welcome.  I stopped on March 12.  It gets better.  I'm using patches, too.  I've altered my physical location for a while as well, to avoid the dingy yellow room where I smoked so many years.

Quitting is very hard.  But it is worth it.

We are all smokers on this web site.  We believe in you, your efforts to quit, and the probability of your success.

Cheerio!

Hey, welcome! One thing that might help us to help you would be to fill in a little more about yourself on your profile page. How long did you smoke? How much? How old were you when you started?

Many of us here also have planned for our quits by studying up on www.quitsmokingonline.com and www.whyquit.com.

Also, Alan Carr's book The Easy Way to Quit Smoking is downloadable on Strudel's page, just type in her name "Strudel" in the search box and you'll see her. Read lots of  blogs here. So many have written with such wisdom! Like Jonescarp, Mothergoose and Peggy.

Please come here and blog often. There will be many more folks signing into this comments section to welcome you tomorrow. It appears many on this site live on the east coast!

Again, welcome! And believe me, this is totally doable!
