Just made it through a crazy weekend with my sanity and my quit intact...eight days!!!

Parties, interpersonal situations, worries, busyness, none of which is going to send me back to smoking. I am so grateful I feel that this site provides a bit of accountability and that helps me with my quit. Plus that I am very stubborn...like a dog with a bone...so I'm not letting my quit go. Hope you are all having a great day. it's cold out here in NY at least I don't have to go out for a cigaratte. Work is stressful...home is sometimes stressful...my quit is like a little oasis where I can go and feel that I have accomplished something wonderful. Thank you all! Happy Monday!!!

Great analogy with your bone...hold on to it, and smile around it!!! Very good, you are becoming a happy quitter and that will help you along the way.  Looking at your quit as your oasis out of the stressful life/work, what a wonderful pedestal to put it on, good for you, congratulations!

***  "my quit is like a little oasis where I can go and feel that I have accomplished something wonderful."  That is a profound statement!  If we could all look at our quit in that context when HALT, emotions. or just Ol' Nic himself attacks, I think many more quits would be successful, and the chance-percentage of quitting would increase exponentially. Congratulations on 'Your Quit,' and you just finished the toughest week (Hell Week).  This next week is just Heck Week, and with your Quititude I think you will find the entire quitting process much easier than anticipated.  We are all here cheering you on, onward and upward!
