Just finishing up my shift at work and I have a real bad urge to smoke. I have had bad cravings a couple of times this shift. My supervisor is hard to deal with sometimes. Thank God only two days a weekbI have to deal with her though. I did good though. I smiled. I said please and thank you. Tried to just accept that's the way she is and did my job to the best to my ability. It's pretty easy at my job to walk away from people most of the time. I read blogs on this site on breaks. Just help me get home and maybe eat something. I'll get through it. Just breathe.

Come on Judy - you're quit or you've not.  You waffle with the choice or you stick with the commitment.  Yes it's hard, yes we're bombarded with cravings - so what?   Let me repeat that - SO WHAT??  If you've committed to this - no matter what - then failure isn't on your playbook.  Your boss, your mother-in-law, your spouse, your roommate, you pet, you child your -ANYTHING - nothing will bring you back to your knees of slavery to this addiction once you've stood up straight against it.  And you have.

Don't go back there.  Really.  It's a losers world.

Life is better when we accept what we can't change, people, places and  things and have the courage to acknowledge what we can change ourselfves. Great decision to walk away from a situation and just breath...sounds like you've made a real commitment to yourself and you're learning new ways of dealing with situations in a healthier way. WTG

WTG - the better you get at dealing with life on its terms, the easier this quit thing will be.  We hid all of our emotional travails in a cloud of smoke, so dealing with them out in the open is another part of the quit journey.

You did well!
