Description

Hi, I am 52, I have been stumbling around here trying to figure out this site. It was recommended to me from a friend from another non-smoking site.  I have quit smoking 100 times. I am going to try again.  Never quit quitting right.  I already have damage to my lungs from smoking. I am on Spiriva. Reading other peoples posts helps me to know that I am not the only one suffering. I have always quit by myself and being surrounded by smokers does ot help. I want to be one of you that have 5 or 7 or 10 months in. I am excited and scared at the same time. Now why would you be afraid of getting rid of something that is killing you.  What a powerful addiction. I started when I was 14 and took a few years here and there off but was young enough to think I was invincable. Well now I know that I am not and that it will kill me.  I think I am to old to regain any length of time but am just hoping to be more healthy for how ever long I get. I have signed up for all I can get on this site and hope it helps. My quit date is 11/11 Veterans Day. The Veterans are one of my prioritys. Those who have given us freedom and get such little reward, if any.  Well wish me luck as I have you. Naomi
