It's just...weird?

I would love some feedback on this.

I am proudly on day 7 (WOO HOO!) and going strong. My cravings have significantly lowered. I'm on the patch and am going to wait a few more days before I evaluate where I am at (to continue, decrease the dose ect.). I am not successful because of the patch. I am successful because of the support on this website and helping me build my inner strength. You guys rock 🙂

My brain is starting to unlearn the habit. Today, I had lunch and then went into the family room to continue my conversation with a friend. Didn't even think about what I would have done after lunch 7 days ago. Awesome!! Sometimes though, I hit these blank walls. Instead of my addiction triggering a craving it just goes blank. Like it's waiting for me to create a new habit in place. It makes me feel spacy. Has anyone else felt this way?

I'm normally pretty sharp and I'm positive that this will pass but I just wanted to get an idea of how normal it is. By no means am I complaining (I would much rather be spacy than a smoker) but it just feels a little weird. Like reaching for the hot sauce instead of the coffee creamer in the morning kind of weird?

....that analogy just made me lose my appetite 🙂 Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Great job getting through first week as they say hell week

Completely normal! Feeling spaced out or in a fog can come from the carbon monoxide leaving your system and because you aren't getting the stimulant nicotine. this can last a few weeks.

Hang in there! you are doing great!

Great!!! Thank you!! That was probably one of the hardest weeks of my life. I came out it stronger than ever. I'm almost glad I experienced that because it reaffirms that going back is not a option. N.O.P.E.!

Thank you all!!

A week is AWESOME!  Pat yourself on the back (if you can figure out where that IS - haha!).  Your spaciness IS perfectly normal.

Hang in there - it does get easier and it is SO worth it - I promise!

and the spacy/confusion could be a couple things..but im bankin on change in blood pressure! Cigarettes raise your blood pressure! Years of cigarettes will do just that! ..raise your blood pressure for years! Even the slightest reduction in BP often causes confusion, dizzy spells, loss of consciousness, and in my case, even seizures! no matter what your blood pressure was as a heavy smoker, seven days "grossless" has dropped it quit substantially! It's a good thing..-to the other side-

The first 3 -5 days I quit my body felt like it was high and yes my head was evry foggy.  It was almost like that feeling your head has when you wake up in the morning.  It does subside though.  You are doing well!  Keep it up!  The physical benefits are just beginning!
