It's a matter of choices!

Life is full of choices and that's how we survive!

Look at all of the positive choices we've made in our lives.  Of course, sometimes we think, gee, I shouldn't have done that.  In the long run, perhaps that choice you weren't so happy about lead you to something greater than you would have ever expected.

Don't question yourself.  Don't allow self-pity to take over.  Don't surrender.

Sometimes you have to make "lifestyle" changes that are choices!  Timeframes may be different because we're all different.  We're born on different days, choose different careers, choose different places to live.  Each and everyone of us have made a HUGH LIFESTYLE CHOICE that definitely changes our lifestyle.

If we've survived over 10 days without a puff, we've made a firm decision.  Now, incorporate the lifestyle into the decision and make that change!

As we get older, we're supposed to get wiser, right??!!  Well, now we need to fill a void that smoking did for us for years.  Deciding what and how to do that can be a challenge.

For me, I'd like to go workout and maintain a healthy mindset.  Physical activity is supposed to stimulate endorphins that makes us happy, right??  Unfortunately, I have no companion to go with me or motivate me, so I have to motivate myself.  The mind plays tricks on us.  Yes, we can do this, and we're going to do this, only to slow the pace and eventually give up.

Well, for all of us, we've met one of the biggest challenges in our life and said ENOUGH!!

Now, we have to permanently remove ourselves from the "smokers circle" and focus on other stimulating circles.  What, when, where and how are all decisions we'll make soon enough.

Anyone can be a critic, but it takes real devotion to be a motivator.  I could go on and on about things that disappoint me and my incorrect choices, but they are all the ones that lead me to this group!!

So with that being said, I'm still on the bandwagon and I support each and everyone of you on your N.O.P.E. Journey!  Stick with me.  I need you too!!!!!!!!

Have a great day!!

...we have to permanently remove ourselves from the "smokers' circle"...

How very true! Be motivated enough to walk away, and smart enough to stay away, to not stop and look back and long for it yet again.

We ALL need each other, and that is the power of this place.

Just a hint about the exercise.  If you can make it a habit - pretty soon it just becomes second nature and you WILL look forward to it - I promise!  I used to swim 30-40 minutes of laps EVERY day in the summer at this wonderful outdoor pool.- and be forewarned on the days it was closed for thunder!!!  Same with my walks in the winter - I was a mess if I had to miss because of snow and ice.
