A few weeks ago I asked my daughter (26) if she ever thinks about giving up smoking. She was a bit vague.

I asked if she wanted to be smoking this time next year or into her 30‘s....40‘s? She looked sad and said no.

I asked her to set a date. She sounded a bit cross and asked me to drop the subject.
But I didn’t, in fact, I growled, 'just set yourself a date, it’s not difficult!!!'

1st September 2020

I have kept quiet these few weeks.

My daughter is always well prepared for any upcoming event. I believe she’s looking forward to next Tuesday.

Happy Monday Christophina I hope your daughter quits, however I have found most have to want it for themselves.  You are leading by example, so hopefully that will help...~ Colleen 630 DOF

I think that's great  The best to her

Remember to continue to encourage no matter what, as it  may take several attempts for a forever quit to happen

Yes, keep setting a good example.   Let her come to her own decision.

Day 1 for my lovely daughter. So far, so good.

She told me that she’s downloaded our NHS Smokefree app. Not a patch on BecomeanEx

but good for her.

I believe the support finishes on day 28.....
