I wanted one, but I beat the craving.

So, yesterday I tried to cut my finger off.  Not intentionally, of course, as I would never do something like that on purpose.  I was at work, cutting chicken and must've looked away for a half-second, which is all it takes and I'm entirely sure what happened right then as it is sort of a blur now, and I cut right through the tip of my index finger and some of the nail too.  SHARP KNIVES ARE SHARP, lol.  But I'm fine and just have a bandage on it where the doc cauterized it, holy painful.  Needless to say, I wanted a cig really badly, as one of my triggers was pain.  But I managed to fight through it and made it without taking ONE PUFF, not one.

p.s. Now I get to sit in class for three hours and wonder how much snow will be on the ground by the time I leave; 4 inches, 8 inches, a foot and a half...who knows.  No snowdays in the U.P.

Well that's horribly scary! Good for you though, smoking won't change any outcome. Safe home and feel better

Ouch on your finger, I am so thankful that you are ok and congratulations on getting through the ordeal without the crutch of smoking, keep on counting your precious smoke free days. I hope you don't get too much snow in your region.

I must have missed it - Where is "U.P."  Upward Pennsylvania?  Untidy Peoria?  Unlit Pergatory?

So sorry about your accident and resulting pain.  You should be VERY proud you didn't smoke over it.  Do keep in mind that the finger will heal better and faster now that you aren't smoking.

Take care!

Yikes, that sounds painful! I'm glad you're ok and the cut wasn't worse! Good looking out for your quit since pain is a trigger for you! And...it's true that we heal more quickly when we don't smoke!

I hope your travels are safe leaving school tonight 🙂
