What comes to my mind the most these last couple of days is not just the quitting smoking, but how I want to change my whole lifestyle. I've been working on my diet alot in the last several months. Not a radical diet but just eating healthier. I've lost 11 lbs in this process, but it's slowed down some now because I have been getting a little slack on it. I know when I stop smoking that urge to eat is going to be strong, it always has been before when I've tried, so I'm thinking that I really am going to have to be aware and consistant in my resolve in this area as well. Also my alcohol intake. I have drinks every night. Not in excess but that is definitely a trigger to my smoking also. I don't go out to bars, not into the partying scene, but I am still going to have to cut that down and be mindful that it is a trigger. I've just been thinking of all sorts of things now, changing things in my mind and my heart. I have several stresses in my life right now, but there is nothing that I can't deal with, but I know that without the smokes I may become irritable and I'll have to keep a check on that. I don't want to make my family pay for the bad choices I've made in my life.
