I survived my first day back to work!!!

Thank you all for the nice notes on my blog this morning about going back to work. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

It is about a 35 minute drive to work (one way) and it is mostly back-country roads, in the dark and today, in the rain. I just turned up my radio and sang songs all the way to work. Once I get on base, there is no smoking in your vehicles so that mind-set was on from the time I got in my car this morning.

Once I got to work, I was so busy catching up that I hardly noticed how the day went by. Of course, everyone asked how I was recovering from my surgery and I told them how it was and then "announced" to each and every one that I quit smoking. I told them how great it had been thanks to this site and even sent the link to some that were interested. I was so proud and my co-workers were so proud of me.

It will probably be harder on Monday because I will be all caught up on my email and other things that have been patiently waiting on me to return (since my co-worker didn't do them).

Oh, I didn't mention my co-worker... Yes, she did creep under my skin somewhat, but I just kept her out of my mind and thought of things that made me smile - like my friends on this site.

Thanks again!
