I really want to delete my blog post

Someone told me it's not cool to delete your blogs...  I'm gonna take his advice and leave it up there.  I have to reset my quit date.  I bought the patch yesterday and am thinking of starting it and quitting the cigs on the 15th.

It seems to me I'm living a worthless life.  I isolate too much.  I don't help enough.  It's hard for me to make meaningful connections with others.

Why am I whining in here?  I can't wait to not be like this anymore; I've got to stop putting off doing anything to help myself get better

love to y'all, M

You just wrote the story of my life right now. I am super depressed today. I feel worthless. Isolate. and my personal relations are less than stellar. I have almost 3 months smoke free and I do feel better most days but off days do happen. I am putting off a lot of things too. I wish you the best of luck and if it helps at all...i totally understand how you feel but even through the shit...we can quit.

You hit it on the head.

Only you can make changes in your life positive or negative.

What are you waiting for?

Take one small step a day, or a week.

You have to prove you can change. Little steps will do it.

Little steps will help you see that your big picture can change if you help it along by doing something about it.

Try new things. Change it up.

Find something you are passionate about and find others who have the same interest.

You have to start somewhere to reach out and "whining" is as good a place as any to begin! Don't worry about it! We aren't just fair weather Friends! Addiction sucks it's hard, it depletes us, takes away from our self esteem, does all kinds of unrecognized damage! Many of us, including myself, have been there! But we made a difference with one decision - to become smoke FREE! That led me to become Addiction FREE and then to become involved in self care, which led to a better perspective on my life, better physical and mental health, better choice of other actions and relationships in my lufe, and on and on... I'm not EXaggerating! Give yourself a chance! You can become the person that you decide to BE!
