I quit...

I accidentally changed my quit date! I smoked my last and final cigarette Monday 10/13 @ about 7 pm. It just so happened that I have been cutting back and using some of the suggestions offered...like changing habits and relaxation techniques. It doesn't hurt that I went and had a big hurrah night on the town with drinks and cigs in hand for 10 hours straight on Saturday night. I didn't even think about smoking on sunday. Monday I may have had 2 or 3. I realized on tuesday 10/14 at about 3 pm that I had not smoked today so I reached for the commit lozenges. These things take 45 minutes to dissolve in your cheek. They are kinda spicy like biting into a piece of tobacco...its weird, not very tasty at all. Cherry, my ass! lol!

I work nights at a hospital so I have all my friends support here. I do have a smoking buddy that I texted earlier asking for her support to not mention a "break" and to not let me bum a smoke ever...She is nervous for me. It's 3:30 am now and I have not smoked yet. I'm kinda bored and it sure would be nice to get off the unit but oops there goes my cell phone alarm reminding me to take the Wellbutrin...taking this 3x a day is gonna drive me crazy but I'm hoping it will keep me going. Gosh I hope I make it through the next few days without hurting anyone...I know I may have to break down and cry at some point...this I'm prepared for. However I am not prepared to fail!

Good morning
My friend, if you have one day behind you do not turn back. You had already started detoxing when you were cutting down, and the only way out is to get 3-7 days in without a cigarette. You will be proud of yourself!
