I made it to the 6%!

Today I have officially made it to a year without a cigarette! At the beginning of my journey I had no confidence that I could make it this far. I took it day by day, sometimes minute by minute. I had given nicotine so much control over every part of my life. The best thing about my quit isn’t the money I’ve saved or the extra time I have now or not stinking. IT’S THE FREEDOM! I am free from the chains that held me captive for so long, not allowing me to live my life. I feel so blessed to have made it to the other side and I can say with confidence that I will never go back to that dark place again!

I just went back and read your blogs as you went through this journey to freedom.  It is something you might want to do, too.  It is a road map for others newly quit to follow, as well!

Glad you came back to celebrate with us!  Here is your golden key to the 6% Club (statistics show that only 6% of people who quit are still quit after one year).

Congratulations!

Nancy

P.S.  You must remain observant for two years of holidays, changes in seasons, family dramas.  A smoking "memory" might appear because these aren't something you experience in your daily life and thus you haven't relearned them without smoking.  An acknowledgement that "you don't do that anymore" and a shake of your head is all that will be required.

365 days ago you imagine.....

You gotta feel good about yourself, the confidence the fact you have overcome an addiction. Be careful that addiction is still a part of you, watch your back, and stop in and say hello here please we like to know how you've done this, what your plans are to keep this quit.
