Today is day 4...it's been really rough. Lots of anxiety. I want it to go away....

But I don't want to smoke anymore...I want to be healthy and fre of this addiction.

At work now and having a hard time letting go of things...if anyone has any suggestions, please help.

I think the deep breathing helped me the most, or a big glass of water Janel. Hope you can get past this crappy feeling. I remember before when I quit, it was terrible, but I also think it was all in my mind, except all the detox part of it. Let this 4th day pass by. At least you came here to seek advise. I don't know if I'm helping, but it helps me to write this to you. Also, sorry to hear of the death, but they are at peace now. Take care and I'll be thinking of you today 🙂

Soory to hear about your Aunt! You did well getting through the funeral. These EXperiences make you stronger! Let these thoughts pass over you like floating clouds in the sky! Acknowledge them but don't act on them! The less you fight the thoughts the more quickly they pass on. Our actions are not our thoughts!!!! We get to decide what action we take!!!!

When you leave work, be sure to head out for a brisk walk - or do some marching in place or some jumping jacks.  Right now try some deeep, slooooooooow breaths.  All are GUARANTEED to reduce stress and anxiety - I promise!

Don't forget your sense of humor......

Find an elder, go to their page and just start reading everything you can.  Top to bottom.  They've set up their pages for the purpose of instruction, support and wisdom.  It would take a lifetime to read all the material on each of the pages on here.  And it will certainly get you through a craving, 'cause though it may seem to last as long as a liftetime - it DON'T.

Hi Janel, hope you're feeling better this evening! Quite a test for the beginning of your quit but you can do this.

Sorry for your lose. I bloged alot I pretty much lived here. it helped me to help others.the site was one my biggest distractions, I walk , I clean, listen to music ,dance. read what ever it takes.  Deep breaths and try to get a mental picure of a happy Place, decorate in your mind, Like example. @palm trees with hamock on nice beach, you get the idea breath in out few time slowly , watch a comedy
