I'm finally free...

i quit smoking 7 days ago after several tries. this time i want to be free of been a slave of a habit and i dont want to keep wasting money on those chemicals that are just destroying my life.

when i got marry and i got pregnant for my second child, i told my hubby i just want to quit so my child dont smoke when he grow older...ten years later and another boy thats 8 yrs old. i was still smoking.

i just graduate and found a job after been 10 yrs a stay home mom...and i thought to myself ,when im quitting? when ??? my kids are going to become teenagers an im still smoking!!!

so last june 10 when i got hire i quit...its been 7 days ...have my chantix pills there just in case i need them but as of today doing it cold turkey !

just detoxing my body ,changing eating habits as quitting smoking !!

feeling good nd free

Hi and welcome and grats on 7 days. The trick to this is, when you get an urge distract your self. the urge only last 3 mintues. I have few links I would like to share with you.

Congrats on 7 days!  To a smoker I know that can be an eternity, but it only gets better!  You can do this, like you said "one day at a time".
