Good Afternoon Everyone!  Sorry about my absence, I was staying busy and off electronics mostly in the evenings. I made it through the holidays well. No slips and not too much weight gain. Now I'm focused on my weight (doctors visit last week wasn't great). With a family history of diabeties and heart disease, he is very concerned about the weight gain in the last 6 months. 

So I'm trying something different this time around. Wish me luck not only on sticking to my plan, but also getting my mother on board as well.

Additionally, I'm looking for a 5K race in my area or the surrounding areas in the spring to run. I'm starting my training this week so I'll be ready (and this will also help me drop some of the pounds).

Overall, all is going well. Just wanted to say to those just starting out, you can do it. I found after the first week, distraction was my best friend. I read a lot on the site and found that the cravings pass if you do something, anything, for a little while.
