I forgot I was quitting

So this is day 9 since this journey began. I am feeling great. Working out almost daily. Drinking water, eating Hostess (lol). still smoke free:)

going about my day today someone asked how I was doing . Someone I see quite often so it sort of puzzled me why they asked that question the way that they did. I responded back by say " great, why? Do you know something I don't? So how long has it been? She says. I must have looked puzzled because she had to remind me that I was quitting smoking.

For some reason today and yesterday I have had so few thoughts of smoking its almost as if I never did. The desire is so scarce when it tries to enter the back of my mind it has been easily dismiss                                                                  Hopefully things stay this way or just get better. Thank god for his strength, and all of you for your blogs.

Peace and God bless

great work!  keep it up!

Just be aware of the moment when the thought enters in the backdoor of your brain and does a sneak attack, when you least expect it.

The brain is a terrible thing!! LOL

I too am on Day 9 ... I understand what you mean too. It does seem to be getting easier. Not thinking about it as much as I did on days 1 thru 5 or 6... I like that I'm not stressing quitting cause I've already done the hard part...Now to just maintain and enjoy the rest of our lives SMOKEFREE... Its just the best feeling !   congrats!! Stay Strong my friend!

I smiled so large when I read your blog! Congrats on your awesome quit. Tomster is correct - be aware - protect your quit at all times! Fantastic - keep going!

I am very happy for you.  But like Maggie and Tomster, I want to caution you. Don't get cocky.  Some days the quit is really easy, you don't think about it, you think you have it licked, then wham, for some reason the urge comes back strong as ever.
