I WAS STONED ALL DAY!

Yup! I was stoned all day today! Today was day three cold turkey! I really dug the withdraw feeling! My mind was cloudy...I felt totally slap silly...like I could sit in a chair..stare out the window...and be totally entertained by my vivid and perplex day dreams! Cold Turkey Rocks! Oh and it's FREE too..BONUS! To top it off I even got a free body buzz...The extra oxygen gave me this strange tingling feeling....I loved it!....Guys don't fight this thing! Embrace it and enjoy it while it lasts! lol

Yea, I'm sure you're all as dissapointed as I am..It's going to go away soon! lol...It's called Homeostasis..It's our bodies regulating back to normal! Remember when we took that first drag and we felt high? Our bodies regulated (adapted) and got use to the poisons and we stopped feeling like that....well it's the same thing backwards now...our bodies are going back to the way it was without the poisons and regulating back to normal...Unfortunately Cold Turkey's the best way to experience it! - Cheers! 🙂

Yes, Dan, I remember that first week very well! That high really helped me get through the worst of giving up the cigarettes. Enjoy it while you can. It only lasts about a week. It's the only good thing about that first week, though, so please don't start smoking again so you can feel that high when you quit! LOL!

Good one, Dan. You got it exactly right, the wihdrawal symptoms that is.

Your description of cold turkey reminds me. I too am on day 6 today and have been reading a novel 'Shantaram' by Gregory David Roberts. I just got to the chapter where the author describes real cold turkey that a heroin addict undergoes. The description is so raw, vivid and gut-wrenching (" ....imagine the anguish when the love of your life left you, multiply it ten times over......., that's how you feel during cold turkey"), nicotine withdrawal seems like a walk in the park in comparison.

All the best to you. Let's keep on keeping on.

Great blog, Dego Dan.

There is a lot to be said for embracing the quit and drawing power from knowing that each hour, each day, each trigger/crave is moving you one step closer to where you want to be.
