How time flies

It's been nearly 2 months since I last updated.  In that time, my daughter turned 18, came home with her first (and completely unexpected by me) tattoo, graduated high school, registered for her first semester of college classes and has taken her first solo vacation to California to see her boyfriend of the past 7 months who's serving in the military there.

I've been working my butt of since the Monday after she graduated at the end of May and earning accolades along the way. Yesterday was a great day all the way around and even included a surprise bonus at work.  This past weekend was spent at the lake with my boyfriend for the first time in years and I couldn't have asked for a better time or better weather.  I'm truly blessed.

I would be remiss if I didn't mention this past weekend also came with my first real cravings for months - okay, maybe there were a few during that week of Birthday, Tattoo, and Graduation all in 7 days time but really this weekend was worse.  I work in a bar every week with smokers all around and never have a craving.  Aparently that's not the case while on a boat, celebrating, surrounded with great people having a great time but they're all smoking and somehow it's different and I feel the urge.

The good news is, I didn't crack.  I had to tell myself NOPE about a dozen times over the course of three days but I did it. I survived the worst cravings I've had since the first eight weeks after I'd quit.

The even better news, it about 10 or so more days, I'll be at day 250!!!  I'm looking forward to that milestone.  Happy quitting everyone!
