How Far Would You Go To GUARD YOUR QUIT?

Just how important is your quit and to what lengths are you willing to go to keep it? I am going to tell you about two decisions I made since I quit smoking......not to toot my own horn but hopefully to cause you to think seriously about this.

Up until a month ago I was working a couple of days a week for my son. He is a smoker but he tried very hard to be considerate and not smoke around me so that was not the problem. The problem was I felt a LOT of stress trying to juggle all the balls he keeps in the air and finally had to stop working for him despite the fact that it hurt me financially. MY QUIT is more important, I save money by not smoking and cut a few corners here and there so I am OK......more importantly MY QUIT is OK.

Today I made another decision to forgo a FREE trip to Taladega with my old smoking buddy and her husband. I could ride with them (free) and she doesn't smoke in her vehicle. I could sleep in their extra bed in the camper (free) and she doesn't smoke in camper. I could see the races FREE. I decided not to go. I thanked her but explained that I did not want to risk my quit, that I feel it's too early to test it in that kind of atmosphere and that it would only take ONE.

Hope this gives you all something to think about. OH By the way I don't feel like I gave up anything for my quit, that's how important it is to me.
