Hi all I got a new car

Hi,

I got a new car! I'ts so awesome, really helps with the allergies, for those that don't know, I have not had a car for about 4 years now.

At first I got a 2800 dollar car, an Impala, it had been in a wreck, and had all kinds of safety issues. I was very distraught, I thought, "I am never going to get out of this rut I am in". I have a small online business, selling vintage and I sew, and have a regular job and am a single mom. So I really, really can be helped by having a car. Anyway. I was going to try and sell the crappy (unsafe) car on craigslist, people would message me, and I would only message guys that sounded like they could work on it. But then I a couple of saturdays ago I saw an ad on TV, it said for 8$ a day you can buy an almost new car, and come on down right away with your trade in, we are giving top dollar. I have never wanted to get into a payment thing, as I work a the restaurant business. But I thought to myself, SELF- I thought, lol, self, you used to smoke and drink beer, that was about 15$ a day, and you did that, then you quit both of those. Then the govt garnished your wages and took your tax return for the last 4 years and you made it though that.....so, I took that unsafe car down to the car place, and low and behold I have a new Chevy Aveo it's a 2011 it's very economical, and cute, and I love it. Now what i am doing is saving 10$ of my tips every day so that I can make my payment, and actually I have my first payment all saved up. And! It has a warrantee.

That's the good news. I actually came here to share that I was in a minor accident in my new car and felt like smoking, but I found some toothpicks in my purse and chewed on those while we waited for the police. The gal was kind of a jerk, I think she pulled out in front of me, but made it seem like I just hauled off and hit her. My car is fine, I am fine. My insurance might go upl. But I made it through a situation where I really actually did feel like smoking, but every time I think about it, and then carry that thought farther I know I would regret it, and it would be gross and I would probably throw up at this point.

My new car smells great, just now i went to go get something out of it, it's so nice. I keep change in the ashtray.

Hello to everyone that has helped me so much here. I wish I could stop by more often, but this place just takes so long to load, and is so not easy to use. 😞 But I will try and stop by more.

PS. I quit smoking 561 days ago, and have saved enough to buy a new car!

Great story Melissa. Sorry you got into an accident. Hopefully your insurance won't be affected.

Most importantly, you didn't get hurt and you didn't smoke.

Good for you for taking a positive step forward and for making good decisions in a time of crisis! You deserve a great car!
