Here I am....AGAIN!

I probably should have never left this site but at the time I was here, it was full of drama. Anyways, that's beside the point and I am here to focus on me and quit smoking. I quit for 8 months (I know, please don't bash me). I have learned from this a great deal. Quiting isn't just once. It's everyday and it's staying quit no matter what happens. I need to learn different ways to cope with stress. I have set my quit date for Feburary 1st and I am ready to restart my life as an ex-smoker once again. It's kind of ironic because that was my last quit date. What are some things that you do when life gets really stressful?

I have had many quit dates but my best all time very best quit date was Feb 1 ... and it lasted 4 yrs, so I certainly will not bash you over your relapse.  Since then I've quit and lost the quit and quit again and lost that one too and quit again and lost it, for many years over and over the same vicious cycle.  Good luck to you!  And please blog, as I love reading blogs!

I think that there is always going to be stress in your life.  I think that its an excuse that one uses to smoke.   I have seen many on here who have had tremendous stress such as loved ones dying..... children ill..... the economy just kicking the crap out of them...and they are still smoke free.   I think its a mindset.   And yes it does get tiring to constantly feel that you have to protect your quit........but if you dont, then who will? ? ?  It does get easier....but there are rough patches where you have to have your guard up.. i think thats the addiction that will always be there somewhere.  I think that maybe your mistakes in the past will help you to make your next quit stronger and hopefully longer!!!!!!

Hi!  Ran into your page and I'm in the same boat as you, been here before, drifted off in a puff of smoke (pun intended).  Just thought I'd drop a line.  I set my quit date as Feb. 4.
