How is everyone doing? 🙂

You may have read on my previous post that yes, i blew my 5 month quit and i am in slavery again. But not defeated! I am ready to quit (yes, again, or can i take this as a "resuming my quit"?)

There was a lot going on with my 5 month quit... im not going to go into detail but i think that i overlooked serious things that i should not have. I feel that this time i can be more prepared, and that means more successful also.

So yes, i will be moving back in (to this site), riding the train again and coming to chat with everyone.

I won't see this "slip" as a defeat, but more as a break that i needed to get ready for sucess, and to help me see more clearly where i went wrong and how to fix those things.

So, can i have this quit as a "resume" instead of a "start over"? what do you think?

Lets have a great Wednesday!

Wow. I'm just a little over 5 months and I'm glad you posted this. It would be easy to slip. Glad you are back here. We are here for you.

Francis, good for you.  I totally support "resume day". 🙂  Today is my first day as a non-smoker.  I'm having a hard time.  I know this quit is worth it, but I hate it.  As I was reading your post, I became curious.  You don't have to answer, but here is my question:  what are some of the things you would have done to be more prepared for the quit?

I say if you smoked less than 1 cigarette, you can say resume. If you smoked more than 1 cigarette, it's a start over... Welcome back nonetheless!

My dear friend!! I missed you, and I was worried, read your messages! I have strange days too.  But I just try to think of all the reasons that i quit in the first place. And I still get so disgusted just smelling sickorette smoke. I think I have like 172 days or something. Family First gave into the nicodemon last week. We quit the same day so it scares me. I feel like I made it through the long days of winter.  I got really lucky and one of my best friends has a 3 month quit goin and we go shopping (with the $ we save) and go to dance class, and other stuff.  She is relearning life without cigs now with me and we have been friends and neighbors for 28 years. Find a quit buddy and latch on. I love this site, but aint nothin like the real thing baby.  I bet you could you could find a living, breathing quit buddy if you tried. Hey, I convinced her or more like I set an example to follow. I did not plan to write a book. Anything that helps us stay quit, right? I will be out of town for a week, but please stay in touch with all these wonderful saints around here while I am gone.

Sincerely

Kathryn
