Well, it has been sometime since I was on here.  I have been so busy!  I started running in January and have not stopped.  I ran my first mini marathon (Indianapolis 500 mini) two weeks ago.  I ran the 90% of it.. (it took 2 hours and 45 minutes).  I just want to tell everyone out there it is worth quitting!!  I never thought of myself as a runner, but it is happening.  My next goal is to run a "tough mudder".  Remember, make goals for yourself and stick to them.  Anything is possible if you just think positive!

Stay strong and believe in yourself!

Glad to see you have been able to distance run so far in such a short amount of time! I'm using the "rugged maniac" as my inspiration for the near term and hope to get myself in good enough shape to attempt the tough mudder and spartan runs next year. Thanks for giving this struggler a little hope!

Thanks for coming back and letting us know how great you're doing!  It's always remarkable to know how our lives can change so positively by quitting smoking.  Your story is inspiring, keep up the good work!
