Hello All ------ I am back!!

Good afternoon all!  I know I haven't been on here in months now, I was ashamed of "falling off the no smoking wagon". I was smoke free for 6 months this time and i caved in July and let stress of family problems push me backwards. I am looking to stop this nasty, horrible addiction once and for all soon.  I beat myself up daily (mentally) for taking that "one puff", but it is what it is and I need to move on and start all over again.  I just need to pick a date and go cold turkey once again. Does any of the elders have any advise on the best way to get back on the wagon after falling off??

Thank you,

Anna (totally embarassed for giving in to this disgusting addiction again)

Figure out what you will do differently when the stress of family problems happens again, smoking helps nothing.  Remember that.  I am not going to scold you, that's not my place.  I will tell you that the sooner you quit again, the better.  You CAN do this...BELIEVE!

Thank you.. You are right, smoking has helped NOTHING and I knew that when I picked it back up, but yet I did. If it is best to quit sooner than that helped me with a date... TOMORROW.  🙂

Thank you oce again Elvan.  🙂

When you have your plans in place how you will handle craves THIS time - set your date.  Maybe read the information again, too - and make up your quit kit, including the list of things you can do instead of smoke and your list of reasons for quitting to look at whenever things get tough.  On the list of things to do should be " Blog HELP on the site and wait for folks to come running."  Sometimes just writing it all down is the only release needed!

Don't look back; you aren't going that way.

Let us know how we can help!

Thank you Nancy,

I will read the information again today so I am ready for tomorrow.  I will make sure this time that Bolg help is top of the list for any thoughts or craves.

Welcome back! I would recommend reading (or rereading if you read it last time) - Carr's book - http://media.wix.com/ugd/74fa87_2010cc5496521431188f905b7234a829.pdf

You can do this - stick around!

Hi Anna. I"m glad you're back. Most of us here have quit more than once. When it comes to quitting, one size does not fit all. I have pondered here for half an hour about what to tell you. It's easier if you are ready and have done the work to prepare. It's easier if you take responsibility for the decision to smoke or not smoke. It's easier if you have a quit buddy, and stay in the moment.

Make it personal. Do it like you mean it.
