My second was awful, especially when driving.  But I did not smoke so very proud of myself.

Congratulations on a day WON.  I'm right with you going on my day 2.  It was a little tricky this morning, but moved forward in my day.  Threw out a cup of coffee because I felt uncomfortable as I would normally smoke after my first cup.  It's not terrible.  I can always have a cup later if I want to.  Instead of lighting up I came to the community and pick a stick of gum in my mouth.  It works.  Have a very good day!

I cleaned out my car really really well to get rid of any loose ashes and to get rid of the smell. Having a clean car helps for some reason, I think because I also kept a stash of dum dum lollipops in there. Congrats on your second week!

In the car, put some of your favorite tunes on and sing aloud to them, maybe listen to a book,  or count the red/blue/white cars you see or the lights you hit or miss.  Always keep a cold bottle of water from which to sip.  Change up your usual routes to places so the scenery is different.

The more you change things up and keep your mind occupied, the easier it will be.

It WILL get easier - but it takes some time.

Hang in there!

Congratulations on your second week...driving is a tough one.  I kept a water bottle next to me and sucked on the straw...I also cranked the music up and sang along...it took my attention away from craves.

Congratulations on protecting your quit!!!

Substituting water for smoking during my very long drive to work that YoungAtHeart and elvan mentioned worked for me.  I used to run back in the house every day for a lighter.  When I quit, I kept forgetting my bottle of water and would run back in to get it every morning.

Now, I don't even need the water.  This too shall pass.

My car tool kit including chap stick, tooth picks, gum, straws and water.  Made it very easy not to pick up a stinking cigarette.

Good Job....clean out the car...make it smell leather new. They have a product for that  Then do what Jackie said and stock it up with healthy things to put in your mouth

Thank you, some days and moments are worse than others.  Like this morning,  oh I so wanted a cigarette

I woke up thinking I will get up and have a smoke.

But I stayed strong.  Have a great day.

Mornings tend to be the most difficult time for me.  This morning I went out on my deck and just inhaled the cold air (this was the only time I appreciated the cold weather sticking around).  Great job staying strong.
