Happy Monday

Happy Monday all. I wasn't on here this weekend. It was my best friends 30th and yesterday I had my sister in law and niece over, worked on the Star Wars puzzle. It was a wonderful weekend. Although at my girlfriends party there was a few drinks nothing crazy we aren't 20 anymore haha. With drinks came heavy smoking, thankfully there is one other non smoker in my group so we stayed close. I try not to be judgey but I feel bad for them. I've been watching my friends smoking routines none of them seem more relaxed or focused or happier or fulfilled or anything. Their fingers are very stained and I just want to rescue them all from this horrible nicotine trap/addiction and see them have real freedom but I won't push it, I love them and respect them and I won't look down on them ever. No one is better than someone else

Happy Monday to you as well !  Good job on refraining from smoking, especially during social occasions which is a trigger for many, including myself.

You did great, and your insights will only help you get further!  Remember - the people you see smoking probably don't want to smoke; they HAVE to smoke.

Carry on!

Good to hear, Melissa! I'm glad you had a friend there that didn't smoke as well - that makes it easier. Your observations were right on target - I kind of feel the same way when I see people smoking now. I realize it is a choice, a choice I made for 40 years and I have to respect that it is their choice as well. Besides, nothing you say or do will convince someone not to smoke unless they are willing to take the step you've taken. Hope you have a great smoke free day!

You have a GREAT attitude and I am so proud of you for really paying attention to the smokers NOT gaining anything from smoking, that is HUGE!  Glad you had a buddy at the party.  Drinking at all was too risky for me to try the first few months.  I was terrified that I would lose my quit.  I am a bit of a lightweight when it comes to alcohol.  In any event. happy Monday to you as well.

Thank you elvan  luckily I do not drink so that's a bonus on my end for not being a trigger of any sort.
