Happy Happy Smoke-free Vacation here I come!

Hi EX family,

I get to go on vacation tomorrow. I'll be staying with my husband's sister and brother-in-law in their non-smoking house down in Florida. In past years, it was always awkward with me being the only smoker. My husband quit 13 years ago and my sister-in-law many years before that. So now, I don't have to constantly excuse myself to smoke or continually delay and go through withdrawals waiting for the right time to get my fix. Yay!!!

So after a few days in Palm Coast, we continue to a cruise in the Southern Carribean for some long overdue R & R.

I probably won't be able to log onto EX much while away. Although, I'll miss everyone while I'm away, I will bring you all with me in my non-smoking thoughts each day. Love ya..... 🙂

Vacation never sounded better and it is so cool that you can just hang with the normal crowd and not have to adjust your cigs to fit the schedule. Let the good times roll. Cruising and not losing your quit...I am officially jealous.

Hope you have a just fabulous vacation.  This is so cool.  I was writing to say thanks for the kind words on my 12 step blog.  Then I found this message of yours.  I have been secretly fearing a vacation my husband and I are planning for this June.  Why?  Because I used to love to sit on the balcony and listen to the ocean and take a drag.  I was thinking - can I really relax without that cig?  See there goes that nicodemon addict thinking again.  I just gotta get my head fully around I am not giving anything up and am gaining freedom.  Then I see this message you write about your new freedoms and think, what the heck to I have to be afraid of?  It will be waaaay easier to enjoy a vacation in June and actually smell the ocean again instead of huffing and puffing as I try to walk through the sand, try to plan smoke breaks, be sure I pack enough to last a week, fumble around for lighters and gee whiz, guess what - I can kiss my husband without fear of putrid mouth.  Ah!  Love this message.  Hits right home.
