And feeling strong.  Some urges this morning, after I ate breakfast and when I got in the car... almost like distant memories. Got past them pretty quickly though.  Chantix is beginning to make me nauseous, but I have to take it while I am eating and drink water with it.  Also giving me very, very vivid dreams~ last night's were two doozies.   Not reasons to stop taking it, just observations.  Feeling good ~  I will not smoke today!  N.O.P.E

Good for you!  I used Chantix, as well, and I think it did help a lot.  I had none of the side effects; it might help to read any tips out there on the internet to minimize them.  I actually only used it for about three weeks.  Ended up in the hospital for surgery, and after being in there for four days, just didn't start up again.

You are doing GREAT!  The most uncomfortable part is almost over.  Stick with it; it gets easier and easier the farther in you get.

YOU are doing GREAT, Renee!!  Just keep doing what you're doing.  Do not smoke no matter what happens.

The title of your blog brought me vivid memories of what it was really like back in the beginning of my quit.  Giving up this addiction was so new and different feeling to my  body and my mind, that I was actually counting the hours and half days like you are.

Thanks for the reminder because I never ever want to go back there!

That's awesome Renee!!!! I'm really glad to hear that you're doing ok! i took chantix a few years ago, but had such a bad allergic reaction to it that I had to go off it after 2 days 😞

Hi Renee, glad  it's working for you. I started Chantix in August. Am still on them, with 20 days quit and counting. I have the dreams also, but most of them I find entertaining. I try to avoid watching scary movies as I do not want to have any monster dreams. I had some breathing difficulties as well, prior to my quit and believe me, I breathe so much better now. Very seldom need to use my inhaler now. It just gets better with time. Hang in there!
