So today its 930 am . no smokes. Had a craving it passed, but I am so fuzzy headed. I just dont feel like Im thinking clearly. I know Its the detoxing but its so frustrating because I have my first day of my new class today. Maybe Ill drink some more water and see if it helps clear things up.

I find that the most frustrating that I let something control me that effected my mind so. and Now that Im quitting it has such a hold on my mind.  well Off to get that water and find my mind.

The fuzziness was very frustrating to me.  I got so angry that the smoking and then the thoughts of smoking had controlled me for so long that it made me determined to get thru the beginning of the Quit.  Be thankful that this is the first class and you can catch up on what you missed or forgot later.  Forcing yourself to concentrate on one thing will also drive the fuzziness away for a bit.

This too shall pass CJ. You have the right idea. Drink lots of water, keep yourself occupied with other things & meet those urges head on. They don’t last long & go fast. It’ll take a bit to come out of the fog but you will & be surprised at how well you feel. We all have regrets about letting cigarettes control our lives but we can’t dwell on it. Just think of the good we’re doing our bodies & the benefits we gain for us & our families. I know you can do this cause I’m doing it. You’re stronger than you know.

Hi CJ..I know what your going through with trying to quit and classes on top! Im not sure what kind of classes your taking but when I quit I was working a full time job and taking 9 hours a semester. GRUESOME!! ...lol.. Here is a trick I learned quick. Gum. I know everyone says to chew gum anyhow to keep the psyc part of cravings away ...but, pick a strong scent and chew it during class & the same one while prepping for a test then again..the same one when taking the test. Not only does it help with the cravings & anxiety but there is something psychological about the scent stirring your memory and it will help to bring to mind what you need to know for your test! I promise it works!! Good luck to you! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

Bring along an energy snack too...like an energy bar, trail mix or almonds...blood sugar levels usually drop a bit after quitting so don't let yourself get hungry...or eat your trail mix when you need a boost...

Did you get enough sleep last night?  I know you had trouble sleeping before and if I am sleepy my mind is fuzzy.  Nap if you have time.

Hang in there, you can do this.
