Grey Matters.....

It hasn't always mattered to me, after all grey is typically a pretty dull color. Not dark enough to be black not bright enough to be white. No one celebrates with grey. celebrations use colors like red or pink or blue or any color but lifeless grey. Even black gets its own party. Who has never seen an "Over the hill" birthday cake. Not grey. Grey gets covered up on a daily basis. Thats why they make hair dye, to cover up grey.

On August 26, 2013 I learned that grey matters. Not to take away anything from someone who has had to or is currently dealing with breast cancer because I understand ANY cancer or tumor can drastically change your outlook on life. What I want to say is not every ribbon is PINK. Some are Grey, dull lifeless grey. For those of us that have a brain tumor or know someone who has one Grey is a color of strength, life, hope, and determination. Grey is a color of tears, confusion, anger, and fear. Grey is as strong and as weak as Pink its just not as known. May is Brain Tumor / Cancer Awareness Month. Not asking for anything more than the support you all have already given me. Just spread the word for those of us who need support with this on a daily basis. Just like Pink, Grey Matters.

Yes grey matters, as one says life is neither black or white, but grey. Take care and hope that your problem will get better soon.Take Care Of Yourself

Your blog was wonderful.  I am ashamed to say that I did not know that a grey ribbon signified a fight against brain cancer and I DO know people who have dealt with that diagnosis.  You infused this blog with a combination of humor and information, I hope and pray that you are winning this fight.  Ellen

Yes, Cody, Grey Matters. A very dear friend of mine was recently diagnosed with her second brain tumor.. She had one removed about 5 years ago and they are going to "monitor" this one for 3 months to see how fast it grows..

Sending healing prayers and warm hugs to you !!

keep calm and carry on

You are in my prayers, Cody!

Remember the Serenity Prayer!

Caring for yourself is the part you can change!

May you have the serenity to accept the things you cannot change!

God's arms are wrapped around you at all times!

And here's a hug from me!

Cody you are in my heart and prayers. Mine was 20 years ago and I guess I am still here for a reason, even if it is just to say this "LIfe is full of many possiblities--just think positive and enjoy ever moment you can".

XOXO
