Just heard on the news that smokers spend 80 billion dollars a year on cigs. Wow! Think of the things that could be used for...health care, hungry children,needy families, etc.

I hit 130 days today! Yipee! I had a couple of strong urges to smoke the last couple days. Just tired of getting the run around from Lawyer, court house, cops because of the ex. Why can't people just tell the truth. Any way its back to court to try and get my settlement $ and back child support. Mean while the ex is buying new pickup,car,house,boat, 4-wheeler,etc.....  I gotta have patients! I won't smoke over it. It adds a lot of stress for my son, tho.uuuugggggg!!!! Makes me so mad!  Take care all. Had to vent a little!   NOPE!!!!!!

Hang in there, Cyn!!!!!  YOu are doing wonderful with your quit, and your son has got to be so very proud of you.  Hopefully, the family court judge will be familiar with financial disclosure statements, and demand your ex fill one out!!!  Your ex is probably buying all those things so that he can say that he does not have the money to give you, because he has this, that, and this and that to pay for every month.  I suspect that is what he is doing.  Be strong, Lady, as you are a much stronger person than him - you have already proven that!!!!  Take care, dear Friend, and good luck with our wonderful court system, ehh!  lol

Stress is a big trigger but I ask myself " Will smoking make it better?" The answer of course is always no, just makes things worse. Keep up the good work, you are out of NML, you should be proud!!

i pray the judge sees right through your ex's maneuvers. maybe some jail time would do some good.

What I don't understand is there was supposed to be a lien on the ranch for my settlement. He sold the ranch almost 9 mths ago.  My settlement should have been taken care of before they could sell the ranch. Unless my lawyer or the court, or some one, didn't file the lien..........People say 'Well now you can take his house, P.U. etc."... I don't want that stuff. I want my $$$$$!

HANG IN THERE CYN!  You can do this, you got this!  Patience has nothing to do with it, it's all YOU!!! Patience is an excuse really.  To be honest you just WILL do this PERIOD!  He is AN IDIOT!!  I am going through a similar thing with my ex but I am just being cool and calm about it because I feel they are NOT WORTH me getting all worked up and for what? where does it get me? NO WHERE, so why give them the satifaction.  Let him have all his toys and junk, you will have a better life knowing you are taking care of you and that's all that counts in this world. That is the best thing you can give yourself is to live a good, healthy, calm life!

Hey, Lady.  At home for lunch.  The lien should have been filed with the Register of Deeds and the Probate Court.  What might have happened was that whoever bought the ranch, paid for it in full without the assistance of an attorney to do a title search to assure that the title was clear of any liens.  Now, your ex might have gone as far as transferring the property over into someone else's name and made it look like there was a sale when in fact there was not.  Bottom line, if the court declared a lien on the property, he will have to come up with the money.  Even if it means that he has to sell all those things he bought.  I hope you have a good lawyer, otherwise, you will have to be persausive with the judge.  What a mess!!  Hope things work out for you, dear Lady!  Like Carp Man said, hopefully, you will get a judge to see though his lies.  Make sure you bring all proof of everything you have on paper with you to the courthouse!!!!!

Irishrose is absolutely right.  Having a smoke will not make anything better.  Just remember how bad you felt when you smoked.  you had good reasons to quit and you did.  I'm hoping for ya.  Hang in there.
