I hope everyone had a decent nights sleep and are ready to tackle another day. It's a cloudy, dismal start here in the Maritimes but we were 6 ddegrees warmer than predicted overnight so yay.  To you wonderful folks that are fairly new to this site, stay strong, hang tough and stay close to this because quitting smoking is the absolute best decision you will ever make in your lifetime, for your health, family and wallet. You can and will succeed in quitting smoking but you must believe in yourself because you are sooooooo much stronger than you realize .  There is life after cigarettes so keep counting your precious smoke free days so you can start enjoying the benefits of being an Ex Smoker.

Cloudy, raw, dismal day here in the mid-Atlantic, too.  'Tis the season, I guess.  Darn!   We have been blessed with warmer than usual temps up until now, but I think that is about to end - with a BANG.  High on Sunday is only supposed to be 47 with brisk NW winds.  brrrr!

Isn't it nice we no longer have to go out in it to smoke!  Heck YEAH!

Good morning, Sweet Marilyn!! Look at YOU sneaking up on 500 Big Ones!! I am sure that your good influence is rubbing off on me somehow!! I'm still praying for Ellen. Hope Ellen is feeling better although our prayer energy and what we say to each other is what.goes on in our hearts and her heart. Lots of people have people like. Anyway, I love YOU both, Marilyn AND Ellen!! Marilyn, since we can write anytime we want, have a glorious HUMP DAY and relax as much as possible!!

It is overcast skies but no rain today but had it most of the day yesterday. It is cool in the 40's and will warm up some during the day. Yes I know 40's are not very cold unless you live in Texas, anything below 60 is cool, lol.

I hope you have a gret day Marilyn. I am making plans of what to make for the family get together for Thanksgiving. I know I am going to make a cheesecake as I have a recipe that is so good.

I am so glad I don't have to be outside to smoke as I don't like cool or cold weather. I never smoked here in the housem and most of all I don't miss it. For all the newbies I can only say "it does get better".

Love to you my friend.

East Coast is at a balmy high of 61 today. Yay! Love the fall and the weather is cool one day and warm the next. The best part is the color of all the leaves changing. Just like we are changing day by day so are the leaves on the trees.

They fall off in the winter and bear their bark just to come back in the spring full of growth and life. This is what we are doing each day as well stripping out the bad to come back more full of life than before.

Have a blessed fall day everyone!

Keep counting those days - for sure Marilyn! You are almost at 500 - and I will soon be at  2000! All glorious days!

I am here early today....my car wouldn't start this morning. I got a jump start from AAA (auto club) - but battery is almost brand new - so I am having it checked out to find out what is going on. Sitting at dealership right now - we will see! I hope it is the battery - so that it is covered.

I hope you are having a great day!

Marilyn I love reading your blogs! They are always filled with little pearls of wisdom, and today was no exception. You're right, we must believe in ourselves, and our self worth if we are to be successful in our quits. I'm honoured to be following behind you on this journey 😃
