Good Saturday Night, All

Here it is Saturday night again already!  Time certainly does warp.  Weekends go way faster than workweeks; birthdays and holidays come around faster and faster each year, and now many of us can look waaay back.  I'm attending a 50th HS Reunion in October, and it occurs to me that we're all old people now, that vibrant high school graduating class.  We've all gone on to live our different lives, but the joy and excited anticipation I am seeing and experiencing at the prospect of a couple hundred of us coming together 50 years after we left each other is magical!

I've attended two previous reunions and at both I smoked.  I think the 10th reunion Iin the 70's was still a pretty smoky time in our culture so I'm sure there was lots of it going on indoors then.  At the second reunion (the 20th) we were in the '80s and smoking limitations were being put in place in numerous places.  I don't recall whether we smokers had to go outside to do it at that event.  But I am so looking forward to being at this wonderful gathering and not wasting a prescious moment trying to sneak out of the building to smoke.  I look forward to knowing I do not smell like a stale ashtray (which every smoker smells like right after a smoke).  And I can go on and on.  I was known as a huge smoker in HS and anyone with whom I remained friendly after HS knew I remained a big-time smoker.  So it will be wonderful to be part of this group in a new way -- never thinkking about smoking!!

Well, I thought I was going to write more, but I am yawning so hard my eyes are closing and I'm making lots of typos!!  So I'll sign off for now and wish you all the sweetest dreams with all my love to all of you.

What a wonderful, smoke-free weekend!
