HAPPY FRIDAY!!!

Have my "female" appt. today @ 2:00 pm.  NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO IT AT ALL!!!!

Really scared and, I don't want to feel this way!  I've been dreading it since I made the appt. a month ago!  I shared about this a few weeks ago and, I've just been trying to stay POSITIVE and not worry but, now that the day is finally here...I'm so SCARED!!!

I know they say FEAR is (False evidence appearing real)  But, I have good reason for being concerned!  Cancer runs in my family and, I haven't been to a Dr. for a check up like this in over 6 years!  I never had health insurance until just recently......OMG I wish these scared negative feelings would go away!!!!

I just have to do this and pray for the best!

I just needed to express this, this morning...release some of the fear in writing....

Not looking for attention on this...just needed to express these feelings to try and difuse it a little!!

Try not to obssess because that will do nothing but make it worse. There is nothing you can control here except your thoughts and mental state. Do a bit of deep breathing and perhaps some positive affirmations. We'll be here for you.

Well Womens check-ups suck no matter what... you probably felt this this way about the whole yucky experience when you used to smoke. . . . It took me twelve years after I had my son to get the courage to have one.... so I know where you are coming from.

My heart goes out to you. I will say a little prayer for you. hope it all goes well. I`m sure it will.

Hey is there no free public health in America???? what do people do if they cant afford insurance???? sounds very very bad to me....when did your country bring this law in??? I hope Europeen Laws dont enforce that bull shit here.

I agree Rachel...insurance sucks here in America.  If you don't have a job anymore, or COBRA...YOU LOSE!!!

I used to have insurance when I worked...now, I don't.  But, I did just recently qualify FINALLY for SSI and got Medical...that's how I'm able to go today...

Cheer up, going to the doctors isnt that bad, and if you dont have any bleeding problams, you should have nothing to worry about, but will send prayers out for you anyway.  and everyone is right about our american ins. even with we still owe out of our poor pockets.   i say this because i just went for blood work yesterday and have only one arm they can use and its running out of working veins. lol. and i gotta do lol. every few months. (now this is mean to be funny)  puton your big girl pants and smile.

I'm so sorry you are so stressed about your appointment. I can so relate with your fears, and all this research about the health effects of smoking has turned me into a hyprocondriac.  Good luck and try to relax.

I understand your fears completely!  Just remember there is no excuse to smoke!  And those who don't understand the female fear of the female exam.... well, they just havne't had the right experience.  Fortunately I'm to the point where I don't have to go through that much anymore.  But still when I do...terrifying.  I truly understand.  And yes, the insurance system sucks.  It's kind of like the politicians getting richer...the insurance companies and the pharmaceutical companies get richer.  Even the Doctors who take patients who don't have insurance, don't make much money.  And those doctors are hard to find.  It's  a terrible system.  Protect Your Quit.
