Share your quitting journey
Greetings everyone I hope everyone is doing well in their quit journey. I am doing GREAT! Today is 70 days=10 weeks since I quit smoking. I never ever want to be a smoker again. It feels so wonderful being a non-smoker.
I am still using the nicotine nasal spray but now only twice a day. I intend to be done with that very soon. I have some thoughts for those just quit or getting ready to quit. IT IS SO WORTH IT! If you can stick with it for at least a month you will experience so many changes and improvements.
The past 2 weeks in particular for me have been so rewarding and enlightening. I didn't notice much at first but now...WOW! So many things to be grateful for: Sense of taste and smell improved. Coughing, shortness of breath improved. No more guilt about doing something that is making me sick. More energy, more stamina. I can laugh again, without having a coughing fit. I know life will only get better.
Is it easy? Heck NO! Not a day at the beach or a walk in the park.
Do I still think about smoking; you betcha. But I refuse to go back to that nasty habit. Every morning I wake up my first thoughts are how happy and grateful I am to be free from smoking. It's a relief I can't decribe. And it can be yours too. Please give yourself a chance to start feeling better physically and mentally.
Again, IT IS SO WORTH the discomfort that you experience in the beginning. I send positive thoughts and energy to everyone struggling. Don't give up.
May Peace and Love be with you all!
