How time flies! Well, let me rephrase that... "how time flies after the first month." I set a quit date back on 2/16/08... and the first month was very difficult. But each day after that first month seems to come faster and easier. I opted to go the route of assistance and started off using the Commit 4mg lozenges. During the first three weeks, I knew exactly when to pop a lozenge (it was somewhere around the time when I would start sweating uncontrollably). Thankfully now, my body has adjusted to the new delivery method of the nicotine and I only take them when I absolutely must. I've also since downgraded to the 2mg. I admit, there are days where I take a lot more of the lozenges (like when going out for drinks or when I'm stressed) but the bottom line is I haven't touched a cigarette since I quit. The next challenge will be to continue to ween myself off of the nicotine lozenges but in the mean time, I'm happy to be able to breathe smoke-free again!
