Welcome to our Ex group.  I agree God is good all the time.  I smoked for 52 years.  I was on my knees praying many times over the first year.  He helped me, He will help you.  Congratulations on your decision to quit smoking.  We will be here for you.  I don't think I would have made it without all these great people.

You are not alone.  There are many here who have battled and won over other addicts and managed to finally free themselves from this last addicted frontier.  You can too!  Sit back, read, absorb, experiment, take what works, and learn how to maneuver the pitfalls.  /blogs/Giulia-blog/2018/03/01/quitting-is-a-skill-that-can-be-learned?sr=search&searchId=360c9e5e-d9...‌  Glad you've joined us.  Chin up!

Hi and Welcome to Ex’s Kevinjaychiko

Yes it is good to rid your last addiction...and coming here is a great place to do it...Might I suggest, you read at My EX Plan | BecomeAnEX where you will plan your quit date and become knowledgeable in the quit and your triggers.  Then plan for your quit date, like no other...and the night before rid al smoking paraphernalia.  Keep busy and keep close to this support site for help and to encourage others on the journey.  We are here for YOU...~ Colleen 492 DOF

Welcome to the Ex  Kevinjaychiko  Have you picked a quit date?   Are you going to use and aid or quit cold turkey?  Spend time on the site educating yourself about nicotine addiction and creating a quit plan.  My EX Plan | BecomeAnEX  Knowledge and preparation lead to success.    Most of us have smoked a very long time.   I smoked for 50 years and just celebrated 2 years smoke free yesterday.   The people on this site are great examples that you can do it too.  The support here is fabulous.   I know how much it contributed to my success.  We're here to support you any time you need encouragement or just want to share your journey.

I signed up from text messages from the Ex prior to my quit.  I found them very motivating and added an element of excitement leading up to my quit date.  Also, taking the Daily Pledge not to smoke each day it a great way to begin your day smoke free.
