Forced to Quit

I haven't been on this site in a long time.  I immediately changed my quit date upon logging on here as it was incorrect.  I was finally forced to quit vaping and I found it very easy to do.  Out of all my years of smoking, starting at age 14 and then switched to vaping around 2013, how I quit this time was effortless.  Okay, it was only effortless for one reason.  I ended up getting Covid which ended up in a hospitalization with Covid Pneumonia.  I was hospitalized on 1/14/22, spent five days in, and haven't vaped since.  I threw everything out once I left the hospital.  I just turned 53 last month and I know I'll never vape again after this experience.  We already don't know all the dangers of vaping and we don't know the lasting effects Covid has on the body so it would be a bit ridiculous to continue to smoke or vape after recovering from Covid Pneumonia.

I am experiencing some detox symptoms, but nothing major and nothing I can't handle.  I lost 20 pounds in the hospital and have kept those pounds off.  I finally have my strength back, I'm working out smarter and eating better.  Both my Husband and I were hospitalized at the same time, I might add.  He had a touch of Pneumonia but I was sicker with Pneumonia and spent five days in, he was in for three.  He never smoked or vaped but was overweight and lost weight as well in the hospital.  We're recovering together and thankful to be alive.
