Hello all you new people. 🙂 So PROUD of everyone here who has taken the step to being smokefree!!!
It really IS fantastic seeing all of you and together... one by one.... we are taking tons bricks out of the cigarette companies foundation.
This is a wonderful site.... the people here have compassion...and care...... and they are sometimes stern..... but it is usually well deserved. (I am a walking testament to that!) I've been here eight months and it is one of the most supportive sites I have ever been on. I can't imagine the time AND PATIENCE it takes to hold every new hand that comes here........ hundreds and hundreds..... looking for support AND GETTING IT.
I had a 225 day quit and then one night..... something happened and I put one cigarette to my lips and took that beautiful quit and flushed it down the toilet. There is SO MUCH help available..... and I committed the one cardinal sin...... I didn't ask for it. I smoked only one cigarette.... but I KNEW the minute I took that first puff..... that I was in serious trouble.
SO.... in moving forward........ when you think that life is too much without smoking...... ASK FOR HELP.
Take it fro someone who has learned a lesson the HARD way....... Walking away from that one cigarette...... and not smoking another was much harder than my initial quit. Just say NO. And walk away.
Its not worth dying over.
