It seems like many of us have already been feeling the effects of winter, but so it says, this is the first day of winter! So.........Hold on to your hats and have safe travels through the Holidays!

Only 4 days till Christmas! Wow, how time flys when we don't smoke! Keep all your quit tools ready and your shield up and enjoy the season!

And last but certainly not least, today I have a beautiful 14 days=2 weeks totally smoke-free! Because I came back the very next day it hasn't been too bad. An ego buster for sure, But you and I know God knows what I need and maybe I needed that to carry me through the rest of my journey.

Yesterday was a shoulda, coulda, woulda day, but that's behind me now!

I am ready for Christmas. Presents for Brandy, Sampson. Dasher and Harley D. all bought and wrapped and under the tree and a gift sent to my daughter, Sarah in Indiana, all except I had to put the dog toys in stockings and hang 'em high, and it has been a blast watching Dasher try to figure out a way to get up there, he heard the squeaker toy go in the stocking and he just can't forget about it! He'll have that all tore up in 5 minutes! haha!

The appetizers for Christmas eve. and Christmas Day are in the fridge. Cookies are baked. I even have the pork Tenderloin in the freezer and the kraut in the fridge for New Years Day and of course all the fixings. I am all ready! Are you?

The only thing I gave myself this year is my quit and I am on guard! This is my 2nd set of seasons and I am living life large and my shield is up!

I Won't Quit on my Quit!

Love you all!

Hello, I am a 59 year old female, name Terrie, still growing up. I have moderate COPD. I am an oxygen patient, currently not in need of the 24/7 or night time oxygen. Thanks to all the great support and education I got here on EX. My original quit date was 07/06/15 on day 519 I relapsed and started over in less than 24 hours. I want to go to the great beyond being a former smoker and I shall! COPD is not choosy! and not pretty! May 1rst, 2017 I am using Dale's suggestion to put off a cigarette each time and I am down from 50 to 20. I am looking forward to my old(7-6-2015)/new quit date 7-6-2017 May 4th, 2017 I started with Marlboro reds. Nicotine is a very assinine addiction. Once addicted I found I would smoke any of it including the little cigar/cigarettes, and it's still true since I threw away my quit and stopped being true to myself. I will smoke ANYTHING with nicotine in it to get the fix. I hate smoking! I am not having a problem stopping it's staying stopped, that I am not doing! I do not buy anything but regular tobacco but if caught without it I will do anything except vape to get the fix. UPDATE POSTED 04/24/2018: Getting ready to set a quit date and begin again :)
