Today is my official quit date. This is something that I must stick with this time. Looking forward to a smoke free life with the support of others. Good Luck to Me.
Go, Go, Go!!! You CAN DO it!!! Don't smoke! You do not smoke anymore because you are an EX!!! Go, go, go!!! We love to see new exes dumping "Mr. Nicotine."
It's not luck, you can and will do this. Take it literally one craving at a time, learn how to overcome them, and each subsequent one gets a little easier just "knowing" you can stomp it like a bug!!
Baby steps, find new habits such as what you can do to replace that morning cig with your coffee - I found having banana instead helped. Go for a walk immiediately after your evening meal instead of sitting around craving your after-eating smoke. All these little things add up.
Listen to fishrmann....we need to replace old habits with new behaviors that serve us rather than kill us!! Stay close to the site and you will make it!! Breathe Free
First day? You will do great, just remember to repeat N.O.P.E. in your head and take a deep breathe everytime you get a craving! ( in case you don't know, nope is not one puff ever) It helped me a lot and would refocus me in my quit at my weakest moments. Make good choices and breathe deep!
You can do this! Come here often, educate yourself and take it one craving at a time, like fishrmann said. You only have to get thru today! Then tomorrow. Before you know it, you'll be racking up days and weeks and months!
Congratulations on your quit! Be strong and N.O.P.E!!! 🙂
Welcome to the site! Congrats on deciding to quit! To prepare I did a lot of reading - blogs here, the free course at:: http://quitsmokingonline.com/ and Allen Carr's book - "The Easy Way To Stop Smoking" -
