Finally feeling good

Genesislazarus

61 DOFreedom and I'm finally feeling good!

I've been through a lot which I was afraid would make me relapse but this time it made me stronger. Finalized my divorce, shot a snake that kept going into the house (5 foot long into my son's bedroom to be exact. Way to get a mama HOT!)

Been through DAYS that wouldn't end. Those were the hardest. I'm still learning how to stay busy but people here have great ideas.

Without any family or friends to support me I've always ended up going back to smoking. Here I have found great support and some friends.

Think I'll make it this time!

Anyone who's new... this is the place to be!

Thanks for holding my hand everyone!

Have an awesome DOFreedom

Hi Genesislazarus your snake story made me think about the old saying, “if momma ain’t happy, no one’s happy”...lol way to go on shooting the snake...and way to go on 61 Days quit...you are proof that a lot of stress and one can still quit smoking...Have a great Sunday ~ Colleen 342 DOF

You are freakin AWESOME! Not only do you have 61 days but you shot a 5 foot SNAKE!!!!! OMG!

You are amazing and deserve to be so proud of yourself. Just one thing you need to change....lnstead of you “think” you’ll make it this time, to I “know” I’ll make it this time!

You have got this figured out.

Thanks for the reply... I got a laugh out of it. I don't know if it's

from leftover nerves or if it's something I can laugh about now but it sure

feels great

Genesislazarus

Fairly normal for around here but thanks for making me feel big My

daughter in law was very upset with me about it and I felt very bad for a

long time but the darn thing kept coming back and no Mama is going to put

up with that. Maybe someday she'll understand.

Hooray for 38 DOFreedom

Keep coming back and if you want someone to talk to I'd love to be that person The thing that helps me the most is having people to support each other

Genesislazarus

That's a great poem. A lot of it's me, I just don't know it yet.

Genesislazarus

Thanks

There's a lot I'm learning about myself through this. I just don't know it yet. I needed to hear that!

Love this statement of yours:  "I was afraid would make me relapse but this time it made me stronger. "  I think that's a good turning point when we realize that we become stronger than we were through this quitting experience.  And you will find you just keep getting stronger with each passing craving day.  You're doing great.  Hang onto it!
