Feeling weird today.Only 2 days to quit time.

Weird Chantic dreams all night long. The nausea has increased, but that's a good thing because smoking a cigareete is now becoming a very distasteful thought. I've been a bit dizzy and feel like I want to sleep all the time. I have given myself to do that anytime I want. Going over to my son's smoke free apartment for lunch and to watch a movie. I will not have to outside for a cigarette today. It's only a short time until I fly north to attend my granddaughter's wedding. Can't wait for all the praise I'll get from my family for being a non-smoker. Everyone else quit years ago or never started.

I'm no doctor, but I take wellbutrin, and have read about wellbutrin and chantix on web md, and if I were you I would be sure to eat a good source of lean protien and keep hydrated, as "dizzy and tired" sound like blood sugar issues. If you go to Joels whyquit.com he talks about what to expect for each day of  the quit, check it out I found it so helpful. Also, chantix and wellbutrin both mess with your blood sugar, IMO. Good luck, sounds like you are doing great!

Taking vitamins has really helped me w/some of the side affects of the medication, when I remember especially B-12, it seems to keep me sane!

I've been on Chantx for 2 weeks now - it gets better.  After talking with my doctor she also said that the medication can be "adjusted" - So if you are having intense nausea and dreams after 7 days or so - split the second pill and only take 1 1/2 a day... and then 1 a day until you feel better.  Hang in there though - a few weeks of nausea and bad dreams are much severe than dying of lung cancer.  Try to remember that and breathe!  Stay strong!

Your family will indeed be so proud of you! But - nothing beats how proud you will be of yourself!!! You can do this!

The nausea does pass.  Talk to your doctor about decreasing your doseage if it continues.  The dreams will subside too.  I kind of miss the crazy dreams, they were fun to try and figure out....  Most of all hang in there!  It only gets better!  The Chantix takes away your desire for cigarettes.  It just takes your mind time to catch up and realize you just don't need them anymore!

Love all these wonderful insights and suggestions. I went off my vitamins and the Naproxen I sometimes take in order to be sure any side effects were from the Chantix. I do feel a bit weak, so I'll start the vitamins again tomorrow. I've never been a water drinker, but I am trying to rmember to drink more now. I bought some cranberry juice because someone said that acts as a cleanser. Only one more day and I will be starting my brand new smoke free life. YAY!
