Feeling bad today but i am still smokefree!

Hey, Friends, i feel pretty crummy today-  my diabetes is not doing so great.  I have been having high blood sugars for months now, not knowing why.  I don't eat unhealthy and i don't eat sugary stuff either.  My problem seems to be exercising lately.  I don't exercise much because of all that back pain i have, then, i sit around, not burning off the meal i ate before.  So, i did some much needed working out today and i called the doctor.  She suggested an all protien diet and to stay away from starches, starchy veggies too and sugary desserts.  She said that right now even my fruit has to be considered at Treat, not an everyday thing.  

I have gotten my blood sugar to come down today with the exercise and just eating nonstarchy veggies and lean meats and protiens.  I am probably going to cook some beans in the crock pot tonight, for me to eat at dinner tomorrow.  If i have to start this diet thing over and make it stricter, as the doctor told me, those blood sugars will come way down.  I have had type 2 diabetes since 2001 and i know what to do, i just stopped being so vigilant about it and all that did was make me not care about what and how much i am eating-  thats no good!  I am starting over again, re-reading all my diabetes literature and my food exchange books, and i am eating more starch-free veggies.  For dinner tonight, i just had a salad with cucumber and lettuce with very little dressing.  I am hoping that the blood sugars will stay down after my dinner.  

I haven't had time to think about my quit today-  I forgot how many days i have been quit and i don't know how to install a countup clock either.  I have not used any NRT today either, i just have been chewing gum and mints today and that is working for me so far.  I am hoping to feel better after today and i hope that if you guys have any suggestions on lowering blood sugars, Let me know.  I am open to anything that will safely bring down these blood sugars.

Well, i am going to go and clean up the kitchen and get me some water  ( i drink LOTS of water everyday!) and i will check in again in a little while, my Friends.  Love You LOTS!
